RESIDENT INFORMATION

BUILDING PERMIT/INSPECTIONS

Building permits are required for some construction within the City of Pagedale.  Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical, Building, Existing Building, Residential and Property Maintenance permits can be acquired through City of Pagedale.  Land Disturbance and Explosives still goes through St. Louis County

DOG/CAT LICENSE

City of Pagedale's Animal Regulations can be found in our City Code, Title II: , Chapter 205, Animal Regulations. See some details below:

Section 205.020 Vaccination — Registration of Dogs and Cats Required — Exception — Tags.

[CC 2000 §205.010]

A.  An owner of any dog or cat that is kept anytime during the year within the City of Pagedale shall have such dog or cat vaccinated against rabies and registered. Such dogs or cats must be vaccinated at least once each year if a nerve tissue origin vaccine is used, unless a chicken embryo or other three (3) year type vaccine approved by the Health Department is administered, in which case the dogs or cats shall be inoculated at least once every three (3) years or if other vaccine approved by the Health Department is administered, then at the frequency approved by the Health Department.

Section 205.065 Limitation on Number of Dogs and Cats.

It shall be unlawful and a public nuisance for any person in charge of a residence to keep or allow to be kept more than two (2) dogs over the age of ninety (90) days at such residence.

Section 205.120 Raising, Keeping or Possessing a Pit Bull Dog.

A. No person shall within the City raise, maintain or possess within his/her custody or control of a dog of the "Pit Bull" bred.

B. "Pit Bull" breed is defined to mean any dog descending from the following bloodlines: Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier or any mixed breed of dog which contains as an element in its breeding the breed of Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier and/or American Staffordshire Terrier as to be identifiable as partially of the breed Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier. Furthermore, "Pit Bull" breed is defined to mean any dog which has the appearance and characteristics of being predominantly of the breeds Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier and/or American Staffordshire Terrier and any other breeds known as Pit Bulls, Pit Bull Dogs and/or Pit Bull Terriers or a combination of any of these breeds thereof.

FENCE PERMIT

Per City Code, Title IV: Land Use; Chapter 405, Section 405.190 - 405.250. Fence permits are required within the City of Pagedale.  You must acquire them through the City's offices.

 

OCCUPANCY PERMITS

Per City Code, Occupancy Permits are required.  Owners/Agents must first obtain an inspection from St. Louis County Public Works Dept. (314-615-4100) and pay their fee.  This is an interior inspection only.  Once the inspection passes, then Pagedale will complete an exterior inspection.  When all inspections pass, the Occupancy permit can be applied for.  A picture ID and/or Drivers License of all adults (18 & over) is required.

SEWER LATERAL PROGRAM

Article IV. Sewer Lateral Program

Section 500.060  Establishment of Sewer Lateral Program.

[Ord. No. 1182 §§1 — 3, 6-19-2000]

A. There is hereby established a Pagedale Sewer Lateral Program in accordance with the results of the April 4, 2000 election vote of Pagedale's citizens.

B. The Pagedale Board of Alderpersons hereby establish a policy, a copy of which is on file in the City offices AND available - click here and incorporated by reference, to effectuate the sewer lateral program.

St. Louis County Gov. Home Improvement Program

ST. LOUIS COUNTY GOVERNMENT HOME IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM

The program is currently seeking participants in Pagedale and offering up to $5,000 in home repairs for eligible homeowners at NO COST.  Click on the link to the left for more information.

TRASH SERVICES

Effective Monday May 11th, 2020, Waste Management will resume the collection of bulky items in our community.

City of Pagedale contracts for solid waste removal and recycling with Waste Management.  You can contact them at 314-506-4700.
